- Check & set boot sequence of your computer, make CD drive goes first
- get live cd (dvd) of Linux Ubuntu or other Linux distro/variant (e.g. knoppix)
- Simply insert the CD/DVD and restart your computer
- start using Linux :) ... without affecting your current system
- When I try Ubuntu, it works ok. Connect to internet via speedy also work.
- When I try Knoppix, I can only get screen resolution of 400x600, seem that the hardware is not detected properly.
A bit goes further I got and follow instruction to install damn-small-linux in my USB. I could get resolution of 1024-768 but color depth only for 256 :(. Would like to have any good Linux in my 1GB USB. Anybody know how?
