Posted by toen on Oct 3, '07 6:50 AM for everyone Ternyata cek multiply lewat website mobile versionnya ( www.multiply.com/m) tapi dari komputer biasa enak juga ya. Posted by toen on Sep 21, '07 11:46 PM for everyone looks good: - it’s thin & light - just right for a smart phone :) fit comfortably in our palm. - has QWERTY button, I think that would be convenience to keyed in a lot of texts. Although some people said that’s like a calculator. Sometimes I would too lazy to pull out the stylus. - use windows mobile 5 - smartphone. By default supported by any Windows application. I can't install any program freely in office’s computers. - Support 3 GSM bands & 3.5G/HSDPA. - Has WIFI connection. - Reasonable price (3.8 mio). - has good rate in www.gsmarena.com looks bad: - camera only 1.3 mega pixel. No flash. - screen is not so big - but i can still live with that. - Windows mobile 5 only have viewer program for MS Office documents. Note taking only possible by using notepad & no spreadsheet. I don’t know if there is freeware application to edit MS Office documents in windows mobile 5 or can I install Office Mobile. not sure: - It has no touchscreen. Navigating it’s menu by using menu scroll bar & 5-way-navigation button. That quite easy - I had tried it in the last couple months mobile phone exhibition in JHCC. Not sure how we can browse a page in IE with this navigation options. Considering as well - Motorola Q (nice design but no WIFI) - Sony Ericsson P600 (no WIFI) or P1 (too expensive - 5mio), both using SYMBIAN (have to install it’s own program). - Dopod c720w (too big like blackberry) - Treo 700 (too expensive about 5mio & bit bulky. But it’s already a PDA phone - use Win Pocket PC). - Ipaq 6515 (expensive & bulky) Any better options? what Smartphone is in your wish list? Posted by toen on Sep 21, '07 11:28 PM for everyone Firefox browser has been downloaded by 400 million people. So there must be something. Haven't use Firefox maybe it's the time? Anyway I just like their new promo banner .. -who can resist this- cute fox :). It's called foxkeh! It's born in Japan (site) to help promote and deploy Mozilla products in Japan (wiki). Foxkeh name combines the English word "fox" with the suffix "suke" (すけ; 助, 輔, 介) found in some Japanese male names. Get foxkeh wallpaper as well from their site :).
Posted by toen on Sep 21, '07 3:52 AM for everyone . Posted by toen on Sep 18, '07 4:22 AM for everyone Just coming back from a week off. See many things, feel many things. Hope I can share some of them. But first of all ... Selamat berpuasa bagi yang menjalankannya :) Posted by toen on Sep 6, '07 2:18 AM for everyone I found that my post about and Travel Jakarta Bandung ( here) and Samsung SCH-S179 ( here) were the most visited ones. I hope they found that useful (well that might not really up to date now :P). I see that all post in multiply are well indexed by google or google-blog-search. Means that what you share could be more useful cause they are reachable to more user. One thing that I want to know - if we can we still see restricted post in MP through google cache? It also mean that if we have a business and want to do some advertising on the internet, we can use Multiply, cause creating an account and post an article is easy in Multiply. Some example that I had know is Daihatsu Xenia and Elex media. - We can use "journal" to post articles and/or news.
- We Use tag to categories a post (as news, products, articles, etc.) & show this on the front page.
- Use favorite blog list to show key information (profile, faq, contact, etc).
- Use photo as a gallery and
- Market to sale products.
- need online transaction? you can share a bank account, let buyer transfer the money & send the proof. Then you process the order.
Posted by toen on Sep 5, '07 2:52 AM for everyone It’s about environment again, hope you wont get bored with this and still find this interesting & keen to participate. Copy-paste from the site :P
+++ What would happen if every blog published posts on the same topic, on the same day? One issue. One day. Thousands of voices. On October 15th, bloggers around the web will unite to put a single important issue on everyone’s mind - the environment. Every blogger will post about the environment in their own way and relating to their own topic. Our aim is to get everyone talking towards a better future.
Blog Action Day is about MASS participation. That means we need you! Here are 3 ways to participate: more detail ... Blog Action Day On October 15th, bloggers around the web will unite to put a single important issue on everyone’s mind. In 2007 the issue is the environment. Every blogger will post about the environment in their own way and relating to their own topic. Our aim is to get everyone talking towards a better future. We’re looking for bloggers of all nationalities and backgrounds, writing about all topics to join in. Here’s what you have to do: Publish on October 15thPublish a post on their blog which relates to an issue of their own choice pertaining to the environment. For example: A blog about money might write about how to save around the home by using environmentally friendly ideas. Similarly a blog about politics might examine what weight environmental policy holds in the political arena. Posts do not need to have any specific agenda, they simply need to relate to the larger issue in whatever way suits the blogger and readership. Our aim is not to promote one particular viewpoint, only to push the issue on the table for discussion. So write in whatever way suits your readers and your blog, just relate it back to the environment and make sure it goes up on October 15th. Other things you can doYou can also participate in Blog Action Day by posting a banner on your site ( http://blogactionday.org/promote) or by donating your day’s blog earnings to an environmental charity of your choice. Register your blogWe are keeping track of all the blogs that have committed to participating on BlogActionDay.org and it would be very helpful for you to register your blog at http://blogactionday.org/commit At this time the form is only available in English, but the form fields are as follows: 1 - Blog Title 2 - Blog URL 3 - Approximate RSS Subscriber Number (This will not be published. It is used to generate an approximate ‘reach’ for Blog Action Day. Simply enter an average, recent feed count from Feedburner or similar service. If you don’t know the audience size, just enter ‘0′. ) 4 - Your Email ( You will ONLY receive two emails. The first will be two days prior to Blog Action Day 2007. And a second in August 2008 about next year’s day.) 5 - The final field is to test whether you are a human or spam robot. Simply type in the number written there Posted by toen on Sep 4, '07 1:23 AM for everyone Posted by toen on Sep 3, '07 2:55 AM for everyone (From their help file) Post2Blog is a desktop blogging client that provides the easy way to compose and add new posts (even if you are offline), helps to manage and edit existing posts in your blogs. - Website ( here) - portable version ( here) Reason for me: - an offline blog editor, - a portable one and - has visual HTML rich-text editor (as if I draft in MS Word (and use their formatting) it wont copy-paste nicely in Multiply). Yes I can use in MS Frontpage or NVU. But Blog2Post is just light (quick to load) & portable. A bit disappointment is that some keyboard shortcut is not as same as MS Office. I dont really use the other features. Posted by toen on Aug 28, '07 11:46 PM for everyone First day with new highway tariff (actually I had taste it last night before, when I came home very late). It’s a long queue from JAGORAWI to get to JORR (Jakarta Outer Ring Road) and from other places as well as what I heard. Procedurally there is nothing change (in fact simpler since we only have to pay in one gate). But since there is no clear information when it will start and how much exactly it will cost us (at least I didn’t get that). From the path that I usually use there was only one banner said that the tariff will be flat for JORR with no further detail. And today people who usually on a same pathway with me a bit confuse and shock as well. They spend 4-5 times longer in entrance gate, asking questions and preparing more money. As the result its 4 km queue and need 40 minutes more to get to the gate. The other thing is that now they move the queue to outside of the highway and give more traffic there. This is how we manage the change – in a pain way. BTW. before I had to pay rp2500 for my route, now rp6000 .. dang! :((( Posted by toen on Aug 28, '07 8:21 AM for everyone NUMBER is part of iWork, an office suite from apple and NUMBER is the name of it's spreadsheet application. In excel we have one spreadsheet as one tab. In NUMBER we have one working area and we can put many tables in there. It's like sticking a post-it in your working area, but they act as a table/spreadsheet. That's cool!
I work a lot with MS Onenote (do similar thing but for text) and wishing to have this feature in there. There are also tables in Onenote but have very limited features. Official site (http://www.apple.com/iwork/numbers/) screen shot (here) Posted by toen on Aug 26, '07 10:26 PM for everyone - Sunday 0800 get a taxi to the airport. Cost 170K rp. - 0900 try to buy some thai’s baht in the money changer (hiks … should did this couple days ago for a good rate, the one in the airport was too expensive). Recommendation from a friend is piti-pili either in tebet or panglima polim). - 0930 check in. pay fiscal. Custom check. Dang .. executive lounge now cost your Citibank visa for 50,000. -1050 boarding. It’s an airbus xxx (forgot) big plane, 8 seats in a row. Got meal. -1115 transit in Malaysia. Oups .. I though I will use the same plane. Lucky that I asked. Got 30 minutes to go to another gate, which is on the other terminal. Use their train to get there. -1140 No time to look around, go straight to the plane. Big plane again. Only half full. Got meal again. -1330 landing. A bit confuse with their airport, looks different now. Going to the custom. They are a lot of desk, all with long queue, usually not like this. Have to wait for almost 45 minutes. Luckily I didn’t have baggage .. it was a last baggage call & people from that flight look very worried. - 1430 got a taxi to the hotel. A big heavy rain. And very strong wind. Some aluminum panels from billboards were ripped off. I keep looking around, afraid some more coming to our direction. But that not last long. Just before hit the city, the sunshine already coming. I can saw a new train track that will connect the airport and the city (hasn’t finish yet). They keep developing the city since my last visit. - Center point (wireless road). It’s a service apartment actually. But we can rent room likes in hotel. So I got small kitchen. But the most interesting part is .. the FREE internet, :D. Gonna spend four days here for a workshops.
Posted by toen on Aug 16, '07 2:52 PM for everyone - 4.00 setir ke Bandung. Serahkan semua persyaratan. Nunggu lagi. kemudian foto. Tunggu. Kemudian wawancara. Tunggu. Kemudian tanda-tangan. - 15.00 pulang rumah. Istirahat dulu, tidur, makan, ngobrol, mandi, makan lagi :>. - 20.00 setir balik ke Jakarta, santai mode. Sempat mampir istirahat salah satu rest-stop di Cipularang. Bagus-bagus, luas, lengkap. Tiduran dulu sebentar. - 24.00 sampai Jakarta. ganti baju terus tidur lagi. Is it a bless to live in Indonesia?
Posted by toen on Aug 14, '07 12:33 AM for everyone - jumat keluar rumah jam 4am. - parkir mobil inap bandara. - air asia on time, jam 6.40. Harganya sih katanya ga murah-murah banget. First timer pasti bingung kudu nyari barang ke mana. scattered banget barang yang dijualnya. Perlu guide local kalo bener2 mau belanja. Banyak makanan enak-enaknya. Kalo datang pagian (10am) masih ga terlalu padat. Lainnya … Bougenville 0341 - 721 888, Tirta 0341 - 366 148. Ongkos 50-70rb. - muter-muter di malang karena ada urusan. Lebih banyak lagi makanan enak (halal & ga halal). Sebetulnya ini 3rd visit. Dulu pernah ke rawon rampal. Baso gun. Mie gg jangkrik. Mie di kawi (lupa). Mie sawangan. Bubur Jakarta (?). Depot Semeru. Swikee Saigon - Araya. KDS – Araya. New Indie – Araya. Lumpia Hoklay. Restaurant kuno (lupa). Es krim Eskimo. Bethany restaurant – Batu … *glek*. Ga terlalu padat. Motornya sama hebohnya dgn Surabaya. 2-3 kali muter2 udah mulai hapal kotanya. Kalo punya rumah disini kudu rajin nyapu, debunya banyak dari semeru. Polisinya banyak juga, sama galaknya, sempet kena tilang juga gara2 ga liat lampu merah, ngomongnya sih ramah sih tapi tetep aja kudu bayar :P. Anyway still a lovely city. - minggu sore jam 5 dijemput travel buat ke bandara (ini jadwal mereka yg paling sore). Kalo mau yg maleman paling harus pakai bis. Jam 7 udah di bandara (kepagian). Tiduran dulu. Jam 10 boarding .. tumben air asia –nya on time. Jam 12 an nyampe Jakarta. Ambil mobil, parkir abis 140rb. Drive home, ampe rumah 1 pagi. Jam 7 udah siap2 ke kantor lagi .. *sigh*. Punya info menarik lainnya buat sby & mlg? Posted by toen on Aug 2, '07 6:28 AM for everyone It’s a about special kids. But it’s not ’really’ a story for kids, i am not sure if they would enjoy this movie. The story is pretty much telling old kind of story. People from the future send us a message to help them. It is a science fiction story. Then by some coincidence two kids find a way to do that - in an amazing triller adventurous action. But that common story was pack in a very neat form. Acting of the kids (and all others players are good). And the most attracting thing is the special effect, not really a WOW effect but very neat. It planned & designed carefully. The whole technic are really interesting to see. If you had heard about talking to the universe (law of attraction), time travel, ever things is energy. This movie is highlighting those stuffs and also a model of a perfect family :P. The director also directing Lord of The Ring. Posted by toen on Aug 2, '07 2:04 AM for everyone Akhirnya ada juga website lokal untuk review tempat2 makan, namanya MakanMulu.com.
- Search-nya cukup bagus & cepat.
- Kategori makanannya nya cukup banyak.
- Fasilitas yang ada: database (dengan komentar & rating), artikel (resep, tip & trik), forum & blog si pembuat, bantuan, search, shout box, poll & tentu saja iklan.
Mungkin kedepannya bisa dilengkapi dengan peta. Untuk ini bisa memanfaatkan website wikimapia. Website review lainnya (segala jenis produk) www.pintunet.com Posted by toen on Jul 25, '07 7:10 AM for everyone Through this site you can learn how to read some useful star and used them to point direction. It is easy, simple, interactive and interesting way to learn. It will need 15-20 minutes to finish the whole session. Check this out http://www.quietbay.net/Science/astronomy/nightsky/ Posted by toen on Jul 24, '07 4:56 AM for everyone This is a documentary film from Michael More. It about how bad health services is in America. How bad? many people could not afford to have health insurance. People are hard to get health insurance. People are hard to make claim (the corporation even do special investigation to make an excuse to reject a claim). When people have to pay for their medical treatment it’s cost fortune. Sometimes hospital just dump a passion on the street when they find out that they can not pay all bills. People still have to queue for a long time. He also show the political history how all this could possible happen in America, as what their politician call as socialize health support. He also bring a case that even some of the 9/11 warrior even not get support for their health issue due to work hazard during their voluntary. He also compare how other country (Canada, England and French) give health service to their people, which is a lot much better (free & more people focus). They even have 24 hour doctor support that could be called to come to your house, a nanny support, baby day care even laundry for the elder that pay by the government (yes they pay a lot of taxes but for a good result). One thing that had been highlighted here that in that country, people have strong voice power to be listened by the government while in America people more afraid with the goverment. One finding by this movie is that in Guantanamo Prison, the health support even better. Moore then bring some sick people there, but no luck. Ironically they even got better services from Havana’s hospital (which are cheap but in a good quality). I don’t know how true is this? or how subjective is Moore reviewing this? But the issue is real. So, we see a lot of success stories, multi billion stories from America ... but what’s that for if on the way there that’s not bring good for more other people. People that not as lucky as small percentage of wealthy society. It should be about we, not about me. How about us? no much different (probably worst). --- Film documenter terakhir dari Michael More. *maka nya rajin beres2 ya? jgn bikin report planet laen*. , *jadi pengen tau gimana bikinnya*. Sebetulnya bukan betul2 robot mekanik, karena mereka bisa berubah jadi bentuk mobil apa pun *halah ga penting :P*. Karakter cowonya kurang suka .. gradak-gruduk .. tapi ya that's the character.
